Community Partnerships

Bronx Arts is a proud member of the New York City Arts in Education Roundtable, a community of arts educators united to promote arts instruction in our city and beyond.

Elementary school students take swim lessons, provided through Asphalt Green’s Wave Makers program.

Bronx Arts Ensemble offers a package of after school arts and education including visual arts, chorus and dance. 

Bronx Arts students receive one-on-one music lessons from the professionals at the Bronx Conservatory of Music.

The Classical Theatre of Harlem is dedicated to returning the classics to the stages of Harlem. They provide theater-based educational and literary programs to communities in Harlem and beyond.

Community Bots provides training and equipment in STEM-robotics for young women and their teachers in underserved communities around the world, preparing aspiring engineers for higher education and careers in STEM fields.

Concerts for Compassion facilitates cultural integration by bringing classical music and educational programs to displaced peoples and their local communities.

EarlyBird is a revolutionary, game-based assessment that identifies potential reading challenges, including dyslexia, early.

The Heckscher Foundation for Children is dedicated to leveling the playing field for underserved youth by providing access to education and the varied experiences that make for a richer, forward-reaching life.

The Hunts Point Children’s Shakespeare Ensemble offers 4th through 6th graders the opportunity to rehearse and perform a 90-minute Shakespeare play. Partnering with the Public Theater and a handful of schools in Hunts Point, the ensemble meets after-school 2-3 times a week for eight months and culminates in two professionally produced performances, one in the Bronx and one in Manhattan.

The Hunts Point Community Partnership is the hub of services and resources for Hunts Point community residents. Supported by the Hunts Point Alliance for Children, HPCP focuses on connecting families with organizations that directly advocate for and serve the community.

Students enjoy and learn from exclusive performances from Lincoln Center’s jazz ensemble.

KidsGardening supports the educators and caregivers bringing the life-changing benefits of gardening to kids.

We partner yearly with the Museum of Modern Art for tours and special programming for Bronx Arts students, tailored to grade levels.

New York Agriculture in the Classroom is a partnership of Cornell University, the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, the New York State Education Department, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and the New York Farm Bureau. They work with educators to increase understanding of agriculture and food systems at all grade levels.

Bronx Arts is part of New York Life’s Grief Sensitive Schools Initiative. Schools in this program receive training and resources to support students experiencing loss and bereavement.

The Point Community Development Corporation is dedicated to youth development and the cultural and economic revitalization of the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx. The Point offers Thrive classical theater classes, as well as visual arts, to Bronx Arts students. The Point offers a multi-faceted approach to asset-based community development. Its programming falls within three main headings all aimed at the revitalization of the Hunts Point community: Youth Development, Arts and Culture, and Community Development.

R.H.Y.M.E. (Rhymes Help Young Minds Excel) is the music and mentoring program at Thrive Collective that gives students the opportunity to write, perform and record original songs, while honoring the Bronx’s heritage as the birthplace of hip-hop. 

Thrive Collective is a NYC-based national nonprofit that creates hope and opportunity in and around public schools through the arts and mentoring. Thrive offers classical theater classes, meeting with Bronx Arts 7th graders twice a week. Thrive programming at Bronx Arts is supported by The Point Community Development Corporation.
