 Student Enrollment Guide

The lottery for 2010 admissions will be held on April (TBD), 2010, from 10:00 to 1:00 PM at The Point, 940 Garrison Avenue, Bronx, NY 10474. The deadline for all application to be entered in the lottery is April (TBD), 2010. For more information, please call Jacqueline Santiago at 718-893-1042 x101, or email at JSantiago@bronxarts.net.

OUR LOTTERY

For Fall 2010, we expect to have 40 openings for kindergarten and a small number in each of the upper grades. Students are selected for Bronx Arts through a random lottery. Students are not selected based on talent, academic ability, race, or gender. Siblings of previously enrolled students, however, do receive a preference in the lottery. When the lottery is held, every name will be drawn so that each student who is not immediately accepted can be assigned a place on the waitlist. Parents will be notified if their child has been admitted, or, if not, what place they hold on the waitlist.

You have the right to apply to as many charter schools as you wish. Doing so increases your chances of being placed in a charter school, as all charter schools conduct admissions through lotteries. For a list of charter schools in New York City click here.

***NOTE: Bronx Charter School for the Arts shall not discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, gender, color, or national or ethnic origin.
